Fairhill Business Awards 2018
The Fairhill Business Awards seeked to give recognition to the hard work, commitment and dedication to the tenants and staff; enabling us all to celebrate in everyones successes and contributions to Fairhill Shopping Centre over the last year.
Nine award categories were presented: Best Customer Service of the Year, Employee of the Year, Best Seasonal Display, Sales and Marketing Award, Best Food Outlet, Best Team Award, Contribution to the Community Award, Store Manager of the Year and Overall Store of the Year Award.

Best Customer Service of the Year Award
The RUNNER UP for Best Customer Service provided excellent service, making the customer feel valued and important and demonstrating a very clear understanding of the customer’s requirements.
Runner Up: Tommy Hilfiger
The WINNER for Best Customer Service of the Year Award according to the mystery shoppers who were very impressed with the enthusiastic service and attention received in the winning store. One shopper said “The store was beautifully displayed with a fantastic range to choose from – the staff were so helpful that it was a real treat to shop here”.

Employee of the Year Award
The FIRST RUNNER UP sets an example to others in all aspects of their duties. Their professionalism and work ethic has boosted team morale and resulted in improved business performance.
1st Runner Up: Regina McNeil – Quiz
The SECOND RUNNER UP takes responsibility and stress in their stride, providing helpful and friendly service, anticipating issues and dealing with all sorts of situations calmly and professionally.
2nd Runner Up: John Monteith – Sword Security
The WINNER of Employee of the Year has shown dedication to her own development and that of others. Their positive impact on team members and customers is evident and their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty is exemplary.
Winner: Kelsey Williamson – Topshop
Best Seasonal Display Award
The RUNNER UP for this award demonstrated good use of colour, texture and props in their display to support their brand and entice customers into the store.
Runner Up: Quiz
The WINNERof this award exhibited an innovative approach, and a unique perspective on the theme. They used props to good advantage and created an eye catching and interesting display showcasing the range of products.

Sales and Marketing Award
The RUNNER UP submitted details of a well organised and carefully planned event which has resulted in considerable uplift in terms of the performance of the store.
Runner Up: Next
The WINNER of this award utilised a good opportunity for new business, to raise their own profile and to attract new customers. They planned and implemented a successful event to create an excellent impression of their own business and to promote the centre with significant and very positive results.

Best Food Outlet Award
The mystery shopper for the RUNNER UP in this category commented “This outlet was well organised and catered very well for the volume of customers. Staff were enthusiastic, well informed and helpful. The food was great quality and fantastic value for money”
Runner Up: Greggs
The mystery shopper for the winner of this award reported “The atmosphere in this outlet was relaxed and comfortable – staff were smiling and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food and drinks we had were great and clean and comfortable décor really enhanced the whole experience”.
Winner: Starbucks
Best Team Award
Judges commenting on the RUNNER UP said “This team have performed well, embracing operational changes, and pulling together to deliver an excellent in store experience and to establish the store as a top performer”.
Runner Up: Miss Selfridge
The WINNING team has demonstrated how their commitment to continuous improvement has resulted in excellent customer service, shared best practice and an enthusiasm and passion within the team which has enabled an outstanding store performance.

Contribution to the Community Award
The RUNNER UP has shown how they have combined concern for the local community and encouraged team work within the store to bring about strong community connections and regular benefits to local charities.

The WINNER of this award has demonstrated their commitment over time to supporting and encouraging employees to work with the local community and this long term commitment has brought outstanding results and far reaching benefits for all concerned.

Store Manager of the Year Award
The RUNNER UP for this award impressed the judges with her wealth of experience, her commitment to the success of the business and the development of her staff was exemplary.
Runner Up: Margaret Duff – Next
The WINNER of this award demonstrated how her proactive and enthusiastic approach has resulted in outstanding success for the store. Her dynamism, energy and optimism led her to create great opportunities to improve the business and support her team.
Winner: Kathryn Boyd – Monsoon
Overall Store of the Year Award
The RUNNER UP for this award presented a well merchandised store with attractive display and attentive staff. Excellent facilities for customers and an exciting product range which had great appeal for the target market.
Runner Up: River Island
The WINNER of this award really ticked all the boxes. It had a fantastic range to choose from, some very attractive offers and expert staff on hand to help with every requirement. The store was beautifully presented and immaculately clean in all areas.
