CHOPSTIX STORE NOW OPEN IN FAIRHILL BALLYMENA!

GVA NI SERVES UP FIFTH CHOPSTIX STORE

Leading oriental-fusion fast food chain, the Chopstix Group, is set to continue its Northern Ireland expansion with the opening of a fifth concession in the region thanks to property advisors GVA NI. Launching its latest store in Fairhill Shopping Centre, Ballymena, the new outlet, brings Chopstix total NI employment figures up to 40.

After experiencing a surge in growth in the last six years, the Chopstix Group enlisted GVA NI to help find suitable premises throughout Northern Ireland and has been committed to supporting their all-Ireland expansion objectives. Positioning them prominently in high street and commercially buzzing locations, GVA NI has effectively secured and negotiated the brand’s placement in high footfall areas.

Catering to the changes in work and leisure patterns, Chopstix is a popular eatery that offers an oriental fusion-inspired menu at reasonable prices. Operating a dual-management business model, the Chopstix Group manages five company owned stores in NI, while its presence in ROI comprises of franchises at Applegreen service stations. With a customer-centric approach, Chopstix has become a popular convenience noodle bar with fresh and healthy dining options.

Liam McAuley, GVA NI said: “Providing quick, healthy and filling eating solutions is at the heart of the Chopstix brand so we knew it was crucial that this service be placed conveniently for people on-the-go. Chopstix has a very cost-conscious target market, with this in mind GVA NI has negotiated a series of cost-efficient acquisitions to enable the company to keep operating costs low to further support its competitive pricing strategies while maintaining a presence in pedestrian heavy areas.”

In addition to the new Fairhill concession in Ballymena, which officially opened this week, the Chopstix Group also own and run stores in Donegall Place and Corn Market in Belfast City Centre, Bow Street Mall, Lisburn, and Bloomfield Shopping Centre, Bangor.

Bobby Iacob, Manager of Chopstix in Lisburn and Ballymena said: “Growing nationwide is complex but GVA NI has welcomed us to NI’s commerce industry and helped us get swiftly set up in the different postal communities. As we continue to expand and increase our investment in Northern Ireland, Chopstix will be reliant on GVA NI to guide us through the changing property landscape of NI and help us find the right fit for our brand at a local level.”

Speaking about the new addition to Fairhill’s extensive food court offering, Natalie Jackson, Marketing and Commercial Manager at the shopping centre said: “Fairhill is delighted to have Chopstix join our resident directory. With trade steadily rising in the lead-up to the festive period, this is the perfect time for Chopstix to launch and give Ballymena shoppers a flavour of their delicious and convenient menu.”

Thomas Loughlin from DTZ McCombe Pierce added, “We are delighted to welcome Chopstix to Fairhill. The opening of this latest store will add to the diverse food offer within the scheme and help drive further footfall.

We are in detailed discussions with a number of other exciting retailers about the opportunity to have a presence at Fairhill and I am optimistic that we will have some more good news to reveal in the near future.”
